2019 Infiniti QX50

Nothing is official yet about 2019 Infiniti QX50. One thing is sure – the mid-size crossover will be there. So far, experts and fans have this information, while searching for details is pretty complicating. The situation is even harder when we know that redesign is coming with 2019 season SUV. A new platform means new features, parts, and equipment. This concept is going to use the front-wheel drive with 4 cylinder engine, instead of rear-wheel. There are also some other novelties which are pretty certain for new QX50. However, things can change pretty fast, especially on hi-tech markets.

The 2019 Infiniti QX50 will not use the V-6 drivetrain anymore. Instead, engineers are developing a smaller, four-cylinder unit. This one should maintain overall performance while boosting mileage. To achieve that, the turbo-four engine will use a 2.0-l displacement. While the powertrain suffers significant changes, the crossover will borrow transmission from one of the existing models. Test are ongoing, and we will see which one is going to pair new mill. We believe engineers are having a CVT in mind. If that happens, estimations are that new QX50 can make 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. An AWD is also an option but on some trim levels.

2019 Infiniti QX50 changes

As we already mentioned, a lot of changes will happen in drivetrain system of 2019 Infiniti QX50. Nevertheless, we expect a similar situation with design and cabin. However, the crossover remains the 5-seater, but probably with more room for passengers, thanks to new, longer platform. The redesign will make QX50 bigger, but QX30 remains the only smaller sibling. On the other hand, the SUV could share some parts with the new Q50 sedan. Nevertheless, different classes do not allow anyone to know for sure what will be the same, and which parts will be unique.

Finally, we can’t exclude always stylish and luxurious Volvo XC60, and the SUV that grows very fast, Jaguar F-Pace.
