Many reports suggest that 2019 Infiniti Q50 will come with some big updates. After recent update that included mostly changes in technical aspect, next year could be a perfect time to see a facelift. To remind you, this compact luxury car came in 2013, so next year could be a perfect timing for a major refresh. This model came as replacement for G model, and is part of brand’s new naming policy, which started several years ago. This is one of the most popular models from Nissan’s luxury division and we have great expectations from this potential facelift that could come next year. However, we still don’t know which novelties will exactly come with this refresh, so we will rely on our predictions.

After three years of production, it received first update, which included several novelties, mostly in technical aspect. So, next update should be in terms of styling and next year sounds as a perfect timing. What exactly will come, we don’t know for sure. However, we believe that this could be a mid-cycle refresh that will include mostly visual changes. What exact changes will come, we don’t know, but those will most likely be changes that are usual for these kinds of updates. Most of new things will come at the front. We will see tweaks that are usual for facelifts. So, expect revisions on areas like grille, lights, bumper etc. Interior could also come with some new things. We probably won’t see so big changes in styling, but expect updates of many hi-tech features.

When it comes to powertrain, we expect no changes. The 2019 Infiniti Q50 will come with same engines as current model. There are three units available. Base model comes with 2.0 liter engine with 208 horses and 258 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 3.0 liter engine, which comes in two variants, with different outputs. First one is good for about 300 horses, while the other one has max power of 99 horses more. Third option is 2.2 liter diesel engine with 168 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Also, there is a hybrid powertrain, which is consisted of 302-hp 3.5 liter gasoline engine and 67-hp electric motor, which make 359 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque combined. All models come with 7-speed automatic transmission, with either FWD or AWD configuration.
