The 2018 Nissan Altima could come with some smaller updates, but bigger changes are not expected. This is the information that we received from our reliable source. As you probably know, this is one of the best-selling models from Nissan. Originally introduced in 1992, it came through numerous modifications so far. There are total five generations of it. Current generation of this mid-size sedan is present since 2012. After three years of production, it was refreshed last year, when we saw many new things on it. Because of that, it is hard to believe that some bigger changes will come in next few years.

Current generation was launched in 2012, but we saw a mid-cycle refresh last year. So, there are many new things, not only visual but also in other aspects. Refreshed model received several visual updates, such as V-shaped grille, new sharper headlights and taillights. It is now completely adapted to the company’s newest design language. Because of that, 2018 Altima probably won’t feature more important changes in visual aspect. We will see pretty much the same appearance as on current model, and only new things that we could see are some new colors or wheels design.

When it is about interior, 2018 Nissan Altima will keep its current design. On the other side, we could see update of infotainment system, and also some new features for each trim. This sedan will be also well-equipped in terms of safety. We will see things like traction and stability control, rearview camera, blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, mitigation systems and other.

Changes under the hood are not expected for the 2018 Nissan Altima. We will see the same engines in offer. Base engine is 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit, which is good for about 180 horses and 180 pound-feet of torque. Optional engine is company’s well-known 3.5 liter V6, which has max output of 270 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. When it is about transmission, 2018 Nissan Altima will be available probably only with CVT.
