After last-year mid-cycle refresh, it is hard to expect some more important changes for the 2017 Nissan Teana. This mode just begun its second half of production cycle, and changes are not expected for some time. As you probably know, this model comes with various names, depending on market. For example, North American model is known as Altima. In countries like Japan, Australia, Russia and other, it comes as Teana. It is a model that is present on the market since 2002. So far, we have seen three generations of it. Current model came in 2013. As we already mentioned, mid-cycle refresh was done last year, which means that 2017 Nissan Teana will come without bigger changes.

Mid-cycle refresh was done recently, and there is really no need for some more important changes. New model will feature all these novelties that we saw recently. First of all, there is a significantly improved exterior look, which come with much more attractive front end. There are new headlights, V-shaped grille, bumpers etc. On the other side, we didn’t see much new inside. Unfortunately, company ignored this segment of the car. So, even on 2017 Nissan Teana we will see some dumb design solutions and technologies. Compared to competition, this model is largely surpassed in this segment. So, this is where company could make some changes for next year or two. For now, we don’t have any information and we will have to wait for some time.

The 2017 Nissan Teana will be available in two variant when it comes to engines, just like it was case with previous models. Base variant comes with 2.5 liter engine with 182 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The other engine has displacement of 3.5 liter and max output of 270 horses and 251 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come in pair with CVT transmission, which comes with simulated stepped gears to provide that feel of conventional automatic. When it is about fuel economy, 2.5 liter engine returns around 31 mpg in combined drive, while 3.5 liter V6 is good for about 26 miles per gallon.
