2016 Nissan Sunny

The 2016 Nissan Sunny continues to be one of the most popular models from Nissan in many countries. This legendary nameplate dates from a long time ago. It was originally launched in 1966. As an independent model, was produced until 2006. During these 40 years, we saw numerous modifications. Total nine generations was released during this period. This nameplate is still used. However, current model doesn’t carry the glory of previous models. It is a nameplate used in developing countries such as China, India, Middle East, Latin America etc. Current version is in production since 2010, and it will continue in upcoming years. The 2016 Nissan Sunny continues in same way as model that was released one year earlier. As you probably know, this model was refreshed last year. For this update we saw numerous modifications.

New model is completely adapted to the company’s latest design language, and comes with styling cues very similar to those that could be seen on the latest version of Latio. These two models are closely related, and share many parts. Both models ride on the same platform. It is a well-known V Platform, which is used for various subcompact cars of Nissan. Main characteristic of all these models is very spacious interior, especially when it comes to rear passengers, despite cars modest size. However, interior of 2016 Nissan Sunny is not only spacious. It comes with plenty of advanced technologies both in aspect of safety/drive assist and entertainment. When it is about safety, 2016 Sunny features things like stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, front and side airbags etc.

The 2016 Nissan Sunny is available with several engines, depending on country where it is offered. There are both petrol and diesel units available. The engine that is available in pretty much all markets is 1.5 liter petrol-powered unit, which is good for about 110 horses and 110 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 1.2 liter engine, which has max output of around 80 horses and 80 lb-ft. Also, 2016 Nissan Sunny is on some markets available with 1.6 liter engine, which outputs 116 hp. There is also a diesel variant in offer. This model comes powered with Renault’s 1.5 liter dCi engine, which is for this occasion tuned to 85 horses. There are three transmissions in offer. Those are 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic, and a CVT.
